INTRODUCTION
→When a Subject agrees with its verb.
→ It can only be expressed in the form of grammatical numericals.
i.e. Singular(One in Quantity) and Plural(More in Quantity).

SOME SYNTATIC RULES
1) Rule of Articles
® Use of double articles with double Subjects in a Sentence with conjunction 'And' → Plural Verb.
E.g. The Captain and The Falcon were good Friends.
® Use of Single Article with Double Subjects taking that Singular Article common → Singular Verb.
E.g. The Falcon and Captain America is very Powerful.
2) Rule of 'And'
® If Two proper Nouns are together connect with conjunction 'And', then it is manifestly
a plural verb acting over there.
E.g. Shero and Soma are playing together with Rishu.
3) Concept 3: Same sense Subjects
® When two words are used in same sense to justify something Similar like
N¹ ≈ N²
E.g. "Chola and Bhatura is my Favourite".
Because 'Chola' ≈ 'Bhatura', both are used together while eating.
"My Wife and My Life is Arrived".
4) " One of Sentences...."
One of Sentences→ Always Singular in Sense beside there shall be presence of Plural Subject in that syntatical statement which is mandatory.
E.g. One of my Foolish friends is Coming.
Note that the subject coming after the "One of ...." is always written in plural sense.
5) Indefinite Pronoun
The words end with suffixes like -one, -body, -ting have always a Singular Verb in it.
E.g. No one is caring about the concerns related to flora and fauna.
6) Names and 's' added Words
Maths, Physics, Linguistics, Statistics, Syntatics are all names having added 's' at the end of the sentence but singular in sense → Singular Verb.
Here, Names only consists of proper Noun.
E.g. Maths is my Favourite Subject.
7) Rule of Agreement Words
Unlike, Like, Besides, But, As well as etc → Always give preference to the first subject.

8) Nearest Subject Property
→ Either......or
→ Neither......nor
Always give preference to the second subject near to the given verb.

9) Rule of Collective Noun
→ Generally uses Singular Verb
→ Sometimes exceptionally Plural Verb
E.g. British Army is Powerful. (Singular Identity)
British Army are taking their Position.( Plural Identity or Separation)
Try to translate that sentence given to you in your question and you'll get the sense by reading recalling that sentence as Hindi translation.
10) Use of 'Or'
→ Always Singular Verb

Words like Trousers, Shoes, Socks, Scissors are always plural → Plural Verb.
